Topgear Overclocking Technologies latest build - Two "Top 3" fastest 4 core systems in the world amongst listed 4 core systems for the Premiere Pro CS5 Benchmark. It has also achieved a "Top 30" ranking in the world amongst all listed systems for the Premiere Pro CS5 Benchmark.
Details of the benchmark here: www.ppbm5.com All these results were achieved for just a fraction of the cost of other systems in this league which use the 3x more expensive Intel 6 core 980X CPU or an even more expensive Xeon 5 series processor. The Topgear Overclocking Technologies system was built based on the Intel Core i7 950 CPU, Gigabyte motherboard, 12GB of G.Skill high performance memory, 120GB Corsair SSDs in RAID 0 and 8TB of storage space in RAID 10. Not to mention another 2TB for additional space! The storage drives are based on the excellent Western Digital 7200RPM Caviar Black series. The OS drive is based on the new Corsair Force range of SSDs. Topgear Overclocking Technologies Chief Tuner, Jeremiah Ong, says that the RAID 10 configuration was required as the client required performance as well as a "backup" for all his important project data. A RAID 1 configuration could not achieve the required performance and this led to issues with Premiere Pro CS5. A custom maintenance package was also created to suit the requirements and demands of this particular customer. Support such as immediate and next business day onsite critical system recovery, half yearly maintenance visits and custom tuning and stability testing of the systems were provided. These systems are built to perform very well for HD video editing as well as other similiar video editing programs and must be maintained properly to prevent problems and issues associated with PCs. The system has the Mercury Playback Engine powered by a MSI GTX 470, an approved and recommended part by Adobe.
Taken from http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/performance/Â "Introducing the Mercury Playback Engine — the completely redesigned playback engine in Adobe Premiere® Pro CS5, delivering dramatic performance and stability improvements. The Mercury Playback Engine is native 64-bit, multicore, and GPU-accelerated to provide an amazingly fluid, real-time editing experience."
Topgear Overclocking Technologies is proud of its latest Premiere Pro CS5 specialized system and is currently waiting for more feedback on the systems from its client. Stay tuned for the feedback and more news on Photoshop CS5 performance benchmarks! | ||
